What WIDEN charges
Most firms say “contact us for a quote”. These are WIDEN’s professional fees as published across this site, in one place. Every engagement still starts with a written fee estimate and a costs agreement before any fee is payable, as the Migration Agents Code of Conduct requires, and government charges are always separate.

Government charges
Department of Home Affairs charges are paid to the Department and are not refunded on refusal: for example A$4,015 for a 482 main applicant and A$11,710 for a partner visa. They are never part of a WIDEN fee. See all visa fees for 2026 or the fee calculator. Skills assessment and English test fees go to the assessing body or test centre; skills assessment fees are listed here. RPL is assessed and priced by a registered training organisation, not by WIDEN.
How fees work
- A written estimate and a costs agreement first. Section 42 of the Migration Agents Code of Conduct requires it, and nothing is payable before you have both.
- Consultation and written assessment fees are credited against the engagement fee if WIDEN runs the matter.
- Fixed fees are fixed. A document pack or nomination is quoted once; a change of scope is quoted again before the work continues.
- No guarantees. Section 15 of the Code forbids them. A fee buys the work, not the outcome, and if a case is weak you hear that in the consultation.
- Tax invoices carry MARN 1576536 and Dynamic Consultancy Pty Ltd, trading as Widen Migration Experts.
General information only, current at October 2026; not advice on your own case. Outcomes depend on the Department’s assessment of each application; no registered migration agent can guarantee a result (Code of Conduct, Migration Agents Regulations). Keshab Chapagain, MARN 1576536.

Questions we get asked first
How much does a migration agent consultation cost at WIDEN?
$330 inc. GST for 30 minutes, or $550 inc. GST for 60 minutes, by video. Both are credited against the engagement fee if you go ahead.
How much does WIDEN charge for a 482 visa?
The nomination stage is $2,500 + GST. The visa application stage is quoted in writing after the consultation, because it depends on the stream and the family members included. Government charges are separate.
Is the consultation fee refundable?
Yes, if you cancel up to two days before. If you engage WIDEN afterwards, the fee is credited against the engagement fee.
Do I pay anything before a costs agreement?
No. You receive a written fee estimate and a costs agreement first, as the Code of Conduct requires.
Are government visa charges included?
No. Department of Home Affairs charges are paid to the Department and are listed separately on every estimate.
