The full written assessment
A consultation tells you whether a door is open. The written assessment maps the whole building: every pathway you could realistically use, checked on your documents against the current regulations, in a written report you can build the next two to three years on. A$1,500 + GST — credited in full against your engagement fee if you proceed with WIDEN.
Replies come from Keshab personally.

Government charges are separate and are not refunded on refusal — from $4,015 (482) to $11,710 (partner). The assessment exists so you know the map before spending them.
What the report covers
- Every realistic pathway — employer-sponsored (482/186/494), points-tested (189/190/491), family, and the ones you haven't considered — each marked open or closed, with the reason in the regulations.
- The order of operations — skills assessment before EOI, English before both, which step is the bottleneck in your case.
- Real costs and timeframes — current government charges and processing times at each step, from the Department's own published figures.
- The risks — what in your file could sink an application before lodgement, and what to do about it first.
- A straight answer — including "no realistic pathway exists right now, and here is what would change that."
How it works
- Buy online below, or request it first — whichever you prefer (or reply ASSESSMENT to any WIDEN email).
- Keshab sends the service agreement and document checklist — costs agreed in writing before any work, as the Code of Conduct requires.
- Send your documents.
- Your written report arrives — typically within seven to ten business days of complete documents — and the fee is credited in full if you engage WIDEN for the application.
Start the written assessment — A$1,650 inc. GST
As the Code of Conduct requires, the costs agreement comes first: submit your details and it arrives by email in plain language. Accept it online and payment opens — nothing is charged before you accept. Credited in full against your engagement fee if you proceed with WIDEN.

What exactly do I receive?
A written report on your own documents: which visa pathways are realistically open to you, which are closed and why, the order to do things in, the real government charges and timeframes at each step, and the risks that could sink an application before it is lodged — the skills assessment that will not pass, the employment evidence that will not hold, the health or character issue that needs managing first. It is the document you can build the next two to three years on.
How is this different from the $220 consultation?
The consultation is 30 minutes on one clear question — it tells you whether a door is open. The written assessment maps the whole building: every pathway checked against the current regulations, on your actual documents, in writing. If your situation has more than one moving part — family, a refusal history, an unclear occupation, competing pathways — the assessment is the right instrument.
What does it cost, and is it credited?
A$1,500 + GST (A$1,650 total). If you engage WIDEN afterwards for the application itself, the full amount is credited against your engagement fee — so if the assessment leads to an engagement, it has cost you nothing extra.
What documents do you need from me?
Passport, CV, qualifications, English test results if any, employment evidence, and any Department correspondence (refusals, cancellations, invitations). You will receive the precise checklist with the service agreement — send what you have; part of the assessment is telling you which gaps matter.
How long does it take?
Typically within ten business days of receiving your complete documents, in writing. If something urgent sits in your file — a deadline, an expiring visa — flag it in your request and it is addressed first.
Why do I sign a service agreement first?
Because the Migration Agents Code of Conduct requires it: migration advice is provided under a written service agreement, with the costs agreed before the work starts. You request the assessment below, Keshab sends the agreement and the document checklist, and the assessment begins once both are back. It also means you know exactly what you are buying before any money moves.
Can the assessment guarantee a visa?
No — no registered migration agent may guarantee an outcome (s 26, Migration (Migration Agents Code of Conduct) Regulations). What it guarantees is honesty: if no realistic pathway exists, the report says so plainly, and that answer — before you spend $4,015 to $11,710 in non-refundable government charges — is worth more than optimism.
