Get it settled: book a consultation

Thirty minutes with Keshab Chapagain (MARN 1576536) personally — your situation, your documents, a straight answer on your pathway, and a written summary of next steps. $200 + GST, and if you engage WIDEN afterwards the $200 is credited toward your engagement fee. A refused application forfeits its government charge — a 482 visa charge alone is $4,015 — which is the cost this half-hour exists to prevent. Complex matter? An extended 60-minute session ($400 + GST, same credit) is available below.

What happens in the 30 minutes

  • Your documents, actually reviewed. Passport, visa status, CV, qualifications, English results, refusal papers — whatever exists goes on the table.
  • A straight answer on the pathway. Which visa, in what sequence, what it costs in government charges, what the timeline honestly looks like — and if the case is weak, you'll be told before you spend serious money on it.
  • The traps named for your case. Occupation and list issues, timing around the sequential rules, evidence gaps, where your file would land on the slow end of processing.
  • A written summary afterwards. The advice and your next steps in writing — this is a formal s 43 initial consultation, not a chat that evaporates.

Conducted by Keshab Chapagain personally — registered since 2015, consults in English, Nepali and Hindi. Online by default; in-person at Campsie NSW by arrangement.

Questions we get asked first

What does the consultation cost, and is it credited?

The standard consultation is $200 + GST for 30 minutes with Keshab Chapagain (MARN 1576536) personally — not a junior, not a sales call. An extended 60-minute session is $400 + GST. Either way, if you engage WIDEN afterwards the consultation fee is credited toward your engagement fee, so choosing to get proper advice first costs you nothing extra if you proceed.

Should I book the standard or the extended consultation?

Book the standard 30 minutes for a single, reasonably contained question — one visa pathway, one applicant, a clear decision to make. Book the extended 60 minutes when the matter has real moving parts: a refusal or cancellation with review deadlines, employer sponsorship with nomination questions, multiple applicants or visa histories, or several documents that genuinely need to be worked through in the session. If you book the standard session and the matter turns out to need more, that gets said honestly rather than rushed.

What do I actually get out of it?

A straight answer on your pathway — which visa, in what sequence, with what risks — plus a written summary of the advice and your next steps after the session. This is a formal initial consultation under section 43 of the Migration Agents Code of Conduct: real advice about your specific situation, which the free written assessment deliberately is not.

How is this different from the free assessment?

The free assessment is a written first read — you describe your situation, Keshab replies within days with an honest view of whether a pathway looks viable. It is general information, not advice, and no client relationship is created. The consultation is the opposite: booked time, your documents on the table, personal advice, and a written record. Free tells you whether it is worth pursuing; the consultation tells you exactly how.

What should I prepare?

Whatever exists: passport bio page, current visa details or VEVO check, CV, qualifications, English test results, skills assessment if you have one, and any refusal or nomination documents if that is what we are discussing. Missing pieces are fine — identifying what is missing is part of the value. You will get a short prep note with your booking confirmation.

Is it online or in person?

Online by default (video call), which is how most clients across Australia and overseas attend. In-person at the Campsie NSW office can be arranged when booking if you prefer.

Can the outcome be guaranteed?

No — and be wary of anyone who says otherwise. Section 15 of the Migration Agents Code of Conduct prohibits registered agents from guaranteeing outcomes. What the consultation guarantees is honest, personal advice: if your case is weak, you will be told so before you spend serious money on it.
