The 482 nomination document checklist
1. Standard Business Sponsorship evidence
Proof the sponsor holds current SBS approval (or the sponsorship application is lodged/approved). First-time sponsor?
2. Genuine Position Statement (GPS)
A statement demonstrating the nominated position is genuine — position justification, business need, organisational structure and SBS compliance points.
3. Position description (ANZSCO-aligned)
Detailed duties mapped to the nominated occupation's ANZSCO code, consistent with the GPS and contract.
4. Annual Market Salary Rate (AMSR) evidence
Market salary benchmarking showing the role is paid at or above the applicable income threshold and market rate for the occupation and region.
5. Labour Market Testing (LMT) report
Unless exempt: the employer runs the advertising and collects the evidence — we compile it into a compliant LMT report and answer any questions. We don't run ads or gather evidence on the employer's behalf.
6. Employment contract
A sponsorship-compliant contract consistent with the nominated salary, occupation and conditions.
7. Organisational chart & business documents
Org chart showing where the role sits; for non-accredited sponsors, business registration and financial evidence.
8. Nomination application, fee & SAF levy
The nomination lodged in ImmiAccount with the nomination fee and the Skilling Australians Fund levy paid by the sponsor.
Note: 482 requirements, income thresholds and occupation lists are reviewed regularly. Treat this checklist as an orientation and confirm the current requirements with the Department of Home Affairs, or engage a registered migration agent, before lodging.
