For a Physiotherapist (ANZSCO 252511), the Australian Physiotherapy Council conducts the migration skills assessment, evaluating your physiotherapy qualification against Australian standards. Depending on your qualification, the pathway may involve a desktop assessment or examinations.
Separately, to practise you must be registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia through AHPRA. The skills assessment (for the visa) and registration (to work) are different processes — plan both, and note that neither is a VET Recognition of Prior Learning pathway.

Who assesses Physiotherapist for migration?
The Australian Physiotherapy Council conducts the migration skills assessment for Physiotherapist (ANZSCO 252511). Registration to practise is separate, through the Physiotherapy Board of Australia via AHPRA.
Do I need AHPRA registration as well as the skills assessment?
To migrate on the occupation you need the Council’s skills assessment; to actually practise as a physiotherapist you need AHPRA registration. Most physiotherapists need both, and they are assessed against different requirements — start both early.
