Can your experience become an Australian qualification? Check in 30 seconds

Answer four questions and get a straight general idea — strong, possible, or not your tool. Then ask us the only question that matters: can YOU get THIS qualification? The checklist and the evidence check are free, a fee applies only if the pathway is realistic, and WIDEN's fee is refunded in full if the qualification is not issued. WIDEN is a migration practice, not an RTO — the RTO assesses and issues.

The 30-second check

Evidence you could produce (tick all that apply)

General information only — not migration advice and not an assessment. Only a Registered Training Organisation can assess evidence and issue a qualification.

How it works from here — and why we say no

  1. You ask about one qualification (the form below — 30 seconds, your check answers are attached automatically).
  2. The full evidence checklist arrives by email, free, matched to the qualification you checked.
  3. Send what you have — even partial. Keshab checks the evidence personally, free, and gives you a straight yes or no on whether the pathway is realistic.
  4. A fee applies only if we take the case on. Engagement is under a written service agreement, and if the RTO does not issue the qualification, WIDEN's professional fee is refunded in full. The RTO's own assessment fee is set and charged by the RTO.

To date, no client we have accepted through this filter has failed to receive their qualification. That is not a guarantee — no registered migration agent may guarantee an outcome (s 15, Migration Agents Code of Conduct), and no genuine RTO decides before seeing evidence. It is the result of declining the cases the evidence does not support. It is also why most of our RPL clients arrive by referral from past clients.

Ask the one question that matters

"Can I get this qualification from my experience?" — that, we can answer. Your check answers are attached; add anything else worth knowing.

This tool provides general information only — it is not migration advice and not an RPL assessment. WIDEN is a registered migration practice (Keshab Chapagain, MARN 1576536), not a Registered Training Organisation: RTOs, regulated by ASQA (TAC in WA), assess evidence, set their own fees and issue qualifications, and their registration and scope can be verified at training.gov.au. No outcome can be guaranteed (s 15, Migration (Migration Agents Code of Conduct) Regulations 2021). The full-refund commitment applies to WIDEN's professional fee under our written service agreement; it does not cover fees charged by an RTO or any other body.

Questions we get asked first

Can this tool tell me for certain whether I can get a qualification?

No — and be wary of anyone who says otherwise. It gives a general idea based on the three things that usually decide an RPL application: your occupation, your years of hands-on experience, and the evidence you can produce. The real answer comes from a free evidence check by a registered migration agent, and finally from the Registered Training Organisation that assesses your evidence.

What does WIDEN charge, and when?

The instant check and the emailed checklist are free. The evidence check is free. A professional fee applies only if we take your case on — which we only do when the evidence supports a realistic pathway. If you engage and the RTO does not issue the qualification, WIDEN's professional fee is refunded in full. The RTO's own assessment fee is set and charged by the RTO, not by WIDEN.

Has a WIDEN client ever paid and not received the qualification?

To date, no. Not because outcomes can be guaranteed — no registered migration agent may guarantee any outcome (s 15, Migration Agents Code of Conduct) and no genuine RTO decides before seeing evidence — but because we decline the cases the evidence does not support. Saying no early is the whole model, and it is why most of our RPL clients arrive by referral.

Is WIDEN an RPL provider or RTO?

No. WIDEN is a registered migration practice (Keshab Chapagain, MARN 1576536). Registered Training Organisations — regulated by ASQA, or TAC in Western Australia — assess evidence and issue qualifications. WIDEN advises whether RPL fits your skills-assessment and visa pathway, prepares you and your evidence, and coordinates the referral to an RTO whose registration covers the qualification.

My trade needs a licence — does the qualification cover that?

No. For licensed trades (electrical, plumbing, gas, refrigeration and air-conditioning among them), the nationally recognised qualification and the state licence to work unsupervised are separate processes. RPL can address the qualification; licensing is a state authority process with its own requirements.
