The migration agent for RPL and trade qualifications — never the broker
Experienced tradespeople get sold certificates every day. What they actually need is the sequence: evidence checked honestly, the qualification pursued only where it connects to a skills assessment and a visa, and someone accountable saying no when it doesn't. That is the model here — free evidence check, fee only where the pathway is real, refunded in full if no qualification issues.

About the CPD →The model: paid only when it's real
Start with the 30-second checker — occupation, years, evidence — for an instant general idea. Then send what you actually hold: references, photos of your work, pay records, overseas papers. Keshab reviews it personally, free, and answers the only question that matters: is a qualification realistically achievable from this evidence, and does it connect to a visa pathway for you? A fee applies only when both answers are yes and you engage — and if the RTO does not issue the qualification, the fee comes back in full. To date no accepted client has failed to receive their qualification: that is what saying no early buys, and it is why most RPL clients here arrive by referral.
The order that works (and the one that wastes money)
Right order: evidence check → RTO assessment of your competence → skills assessment with the occupation's authority (TRA for most trades, VETASSESS for many others) → the visa the occupation supports — employer-sponsored 482/494, a regional DAMA, or points-tested. Wrong order: buying a certificate first and hoping. The difference is the whole game, and it is migration judgment, not paperwork — which is why the process sits with a registered agent (MARN 1576536, verify on the OMARA register) while the assessing and issuing stays with the RTO, where the law puts it.
Who you are dealing with
Keshab Chapagain has practised since 2015, consults in English, Nepali and Hindi, and works the whole chain: the evidence call, the RTO referral, the skills assessment, and the sponsorship or points application at the end — including SponsorTalent, the marketplace where tradespeople get found by employers approved to sponsor. One accountable person across the whole sequence, with every promise on this page in writing when you engage.
Not sure which visa fits you?
Answer three questions. An automated guide points you to the route that usually applies. General information only.
Check your case
Tell Keshab your situation. He reads it personally and replies within a business day with which route fits you and whether a consultation is worth your money. Not an assessment of your file, no advice on it, no obligation.
How this works: Keshab reads every case check himself and replies personally, usually within a business day: which route fits, what it turns on, and whether a consultation is worth your money. If it is, he offers you a time; if it is not, he says so.
Ready now? Skip the form. Pick a time and talk to Keshab directly — your documents on the table, a straight answer, and a written summary afterwards. $330 inc. GST, credited toward your fee if you engage.

Why involve a migration agent in RPL at all?
Because an RPL qualification is only worth buying when it connects to a skills assessment and a visa pathway for your occupation — and that connection is migration advice, not training advice. Done in the right order (evidence check → RTO assessment → skills assessment → visa) it converts experience into a sponsorable position; done in the wrong order it is money spent on a certificate the Department never asks for. WIDEN's role is the order and the pathway; the RTO assesses and issues.
Is WIDEN an RPL provider or broker?
No, and deliberately so. WIDEN is a registered migration practice (Keshab Chapagain, MARN 1576536, OMARA-registered since 2015). Registered Training Organisations — regulated by ASQA — assess evidence, set their own fees and issue qualifications. WIDEN checks your evidence free, advises whether RPL fits a real pathway, prepares you properly, and coordinates the referral. No outcome is ever guaranteed, by us or anyone (s 15, Code of Conduct).
What does the assessment-first model mean in money?
The 30-second online checker is free. The personal evidence review is free. A professional fee applies only if the pathway is realistic and you engage — and if the RTO does not issue the qualification, WIDEN's fee is refunded in full. To date, no client accepted through this filter has failed to receive their qualification — which is selectivity, not a guarantee. The RTO's own assessment fee is separate and set by the RTO.
Which trades does this actually work for?
The pattern holds across the trades with real Australian demand: carpentry and joinery, painting, welding and fabrication, electrical (with licensing separate), plumbing (likewise), tiling, plastering, bricklaying, cabinet making, cooking and baking, automotive, and the care occupations (CHC33021). In August 2026 a client's overseas painting experience was assessed by an RTO toward the Certificate III as one step in a trades pathway — the sequence working as designed.
What comes after the qualification?
The migration half: a skills assessment with the right authority (TRA for most trades, VETASSESS for many others), then the visa the occupation supports — employer-sponsored 482/494, DAMA, or points-tested where lists allow. That half is exactly what the consultation maps: $330 inc. GST, credited toward your engagement, advice in writing.
