Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Subclass 858 National Innovation visa, you must:

  • Be invited to apply for the visa via the Expression of Interest (EOI) process

  • Apply within 60 days of receiving the invitation

  • Be either inside or outside Australia, but not in immigration clearance at the time of application and visa grant

  • Have an internationally recognised record of exceptional and outstanding achievement in one of the eligible fields

  • Be nominated by a person or organisation with a national reputation in your area of expertise. Your nominator must be one of the following:

    • An Australian citizen

    • An Australian permanent resident

    • An eligible New Zealand citizen

    • An Australian organisation
