Frequently asked questions
Is this migration advice on my specific state nomination application?
No. The Playbook is general information about the published NSW state nomination framework. State nomination programs change criteria, allocations and stream priorities frequently. Whether you are a competitive candidate for the current round is an individual assessment that requires migration advice on your specific points score, occupation and circumstances.
Does it guarantee NSW will nominate me?
No. State nomination is competitive and decided by Investment NSW (or the current nominating authority) on selection criteria they publish and apply. Section 15 of the Migration Agents Code of Conduct 2022 prohibits any guarantee of outcome by a registered migration agent. The Playbook helps you understand the framework; the nomination decision is not WIDEN's to give.
Does it cover both the Subclass 190 and 491?
Yes. Both the Subclass 190 (Skilled Nominated, leading to PR) and Subclass 491 (Skilled Work Regional, leading to a 5-year provisional visa with a 191 PR pathway) are covered, including the differences in eligibility, selection priority, and post-nomination obligations.
