Frequently asked questions
Is this migration advice on my specific ANMAC assessment?
No. The Playbook is general information about the published ANMAC framework. Whether a nurse or midwife is well-positioned for a positive outcome is individual.
Does it guarantee a positive ANMAC outcome?
No. ANMAC assessment decisions are made by ANMAC on their published criteria. Section 15 of the Migration Agents Code of Conduct 2022 prohibits any guarantee of outcome.
Does it cover both nurses and midwives?
Yes. ANMAC assesses Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, and Midwives. Each occupation has its own qualification and English-language pathway, all covered.
Does it address Ahpra registration alongside ANMAC?
Briefly. Ahpra and ANMAC are separate — ANMAC is the migration skills assessment authority, Ahpra is the registration board. The Playbook explains how they interact and the order of operations. For the registration side specifically, see Ahpra's own guidance.
