The Skilled–Recognised Graduate visa (subclass 476) allowed recent engineering graduates from recognised institutions to live, work, or study in Australia for up to 18 months. However, a permanent cap was placed on this visa on 22 December 2023, and it was closed to all new applications from 1 July 2024.
For Current Visa Holders
If you have already been granted a Skilled–Recognised Graduate visa (subclass 476), you can still enjoy the full benefits of your visa until its expiry.
What You Can Do With This Visa

Live, work, and study in Australia temporarily

Travel freely in and out of Australia while your visa is valid
Visa Validity
Your visa remains valid until the expiry date stated in your visa grant notice. No extensions are available under this subclass.
Your Responsibilities
As a current visa holder, you and your family members must:

Comply with all visa conditions and Australian laws

Maintain adequate health insurance during your stay

Leave Australia before your visa expires, unless you apply for and are granted another visa
Important Note on Family Members
From 1 July 2024, no new subsequent entrant applications can be lodged under the Skilled–Recognised Graduate visa.
