With this visa, you can:

• Live and work in Australia indefinitely.
• Study and access Australia’s public healthcare scheme, Medicare.
• Sponsor eligible relatives to join you in Australia.
• Travel in and out of Australia for five years.
• Apply for Australian citizenship (if eligible).
• Include family members in your application, provided they meet health and character requirements.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, you must:

1. Demonstrate Exceptional Talent
   • Have an internationally recognised record of sustained and outstanding achievement in:
     • A profession
     • Sports
     • The arts
     • Academia and research
2. Be Nominated
   • Your nominator must have a national reputation in your field and be one of the following:
     • An Australian citizen or permanent resident
     • An eligible New Zealand citizen
     • An Australian organisation
   • A completed Form 1000 (Nomination for Global Talent) is required at the time of application.
3. Be an Asset to Australia
   • Demonstrate that your achievements contribute to Australia’s:
     • Economic, social, or cultural development
     • Academic, artistic, or sports standing internationally
4. Prove Ability to Establish in Australia
   • Show that you can secure employment or establish yourself independently in your field.
5. Meet Standard Visa Requirements
   • Functional English (or pay an additional visa charge for non-functional English)
   • Health and character checks
   • Australian Values Statement (if aged 18 or older)
   • No outstanding debts to the Australian government
