Supporting Evidence

Following is a list of ways in which candidates might demonstrate their competence. Validated evidence could include, but is not limited to:

USI – Unique Student Identification (do you have one? – check at https://www.usi.gov.au/ )

1. Certificates/ transcripts from formal training; Current qualifications

2. Identification – such as Passport; Visa; Driver License

3. Workplace samples/products; workplace videos; workplace photographs

4. References/testimonials

5. Resumé or work history or previous (or current) employment contract

6. Supervisor’s reports; Payslips

7. Customer/client feedback

8. Position description

9. Response to questions/interview during a Competency Conversation with the assessor.

Using supporting evidence more than once

As there are overlaps between units of competency, one piece of supporting evidence may be able to be used for more than one unit of competency.

Method of Assessment

Methods of assessing the evidence could include but are not limited to:

1. Direct observation
2. Challenge Test
3. Third-party feedback
4. Review of work products/samples
5. Documentation Professional Conversation
